Moving Violation Recorder Operating Modes

Advanced Solutions for Accurate Traffic Violation Enforcement

At Truvelo Africa, we pride ourselves on offering cutting-edge technology to support law enforcement with the most reliable moving violation recorders. Our equipment ensures precision, accuracy, and efficiency in capturing traffic violations. Below are the various operating modes available on our devices, designed to enhance operational versatility and effectiveness:

Pursuit Mode

In Pursuit Mode, the officer maintains a constant distance between their patrol vehicle and the speed-violating vehicle. This mode is used to monitor a vehicle for a minimum of 500 metres, capturing its speed over that distance. The recorder also tracks the lowest speed of the patrol vehicle during the pursuit, ensuring an accurate and consistent recording of the violation.

Time and Distance Mode

Time and Distance Mode calculates the average speed of a vehicle over a tracked distance of at least 500 metres. This mode is ideal for determining if a vehicle is exceeding the speed limit, even in situations where the patrol vehicle cannot maintain a constant distance due to traffic conditions or other limitations.

Calibration Mode

Calibration Mode ensures the recorder is accurately measuring vehicle speeds. The patrol vehicle is driven past two reference markers placed 500 metres apart. The wheel rotation constant is automatically stored during this process, ensuring the device is calibrated for precise speed tracking.

Normal Mode

Normal Mode displays real-time data, including the patrol vehicle's speed, acceleration, distance travelled, and the real-time date. This mode is designed to provide officers with continuous feedback on the status of their vehicle during operations.

Statistics Mode

In Statistics Mode, all collected data is displayed, providing a comprehensive overview of the operation. This includes statistical data on speed violations, distances, times, and other important metrics that support accurate analysis and enforcement.
